The name Crossmax has a long history in the world of XC riding and racing.

This Tubeless UST 29 inch wheelset lives up to its name with many of the same features and technologies as pro-level XC race wheels, but at a far more affordable price. One of the key factors is Mavic’s UST technology, which allows for easy setup of tubeless ready tires and gives you all the associated benefits including better traction and control, a smoother ride quality and a reduced risk of punctures. The rim design features a 25mm internal width with a hookless profile, a sensible setup for tubeless XC tires.

Lightweight and stable. Aluminum alloy made exclusively for Mavic offers a higher strength-to-weight ratio than conventional 6106 aluminum. – 30% stronger rims. – Lower rim weight. 

These wheels are built with 24 straight-pull spokes to save weight and maximize wheel strength, so you get just the right balance of efficiency and durability. Power transfer at the rear wheel is handled by the ID 360 freehub.

 

Technologies

Inside the Crossmax rear wheel the new freewheel-generation named will be used – it makes a perfect hub: low weight, minimized friction, quick force-closure, high axle-stiffness and enormously long lifetime. And if maintenance should be necessary, or altering the axle-standard, it is tool-free and easier than ever before.

Welding Technology – More stable and smoother rim joint. Soudé Usiné Process. The rim joint is welded and then over-milled for a light, stable rim profile & a perfectly airtight rim.

– Universal Standard for Tubeless. Ready to ride tubeless system. The UST concept improves traction, control and comfort whilst reducing inertia and flats.

(Qualité de Roulements Mavic Auto) – Those cartridge bearings are of course double sealed with C3 internal clearance. Their preload is automatically adjusted to guarantee a perfect spin with no play on the long run.

Clean with a dry cloth or soap and water. Do not use pressurized water.
